33 Female Celebrities With Big Feet Who Own Their Shoe Sizes in Style

Have you ever compared the numbers on the soles of your shoes to those of your friends? Not that women need yet another thing to be self-conscious about, but — likely thanks to Cinderella’s size 4.5 glass slippers — tiny feet have become a standard for beauty and femininity.

However, Disney princess-sized feet are quickly becoming a relic of the past. Thanks to evolution, the average foot size has increased steadily over the past century.

“At the beginning of the 20th century, the average woman wore a size 3.5 or size 4 shoe,” TIME Magazine reports. “This increased to a 5.5 in the ’40s and remained this way till the ’60s. By the 1970s, the average female foot was a 7.5 and now, forty years later, the most common foot size for the American female is somewhere between 8 ½ and a 9.”

So, are retailers seeing growing demand for larger shoe sizes? It turns out, it’s just biology.

“People are getting taller and heavier, as they have for generation after generation,” podiatric historian William Rossi told lifestyle blog Divine Caroline. “And their feet are getting larger in proportion to their bodies.”

So, if you have feet in the double-digit size range — or close to it — you’re not alone. Shoe retailers like Nordstrom and Zappos carry women’s shoes up to size 16, indicating a significant demand for larger sizes.

And, of course, celebrities have bigger-than-average feet. Take a look at our list of celebrities who have to shop on the larger end of the shoe size spectrum.

Take, for example, her April 2022 Instagram photo that was met with ridicule. While she looked stunning in a Loewe blur print tank dress and Dries Van Noten platform thong sandals, her sisters Kylie and Khloé made fun of her ‘big toes’ in comments underneath the post.

Despite all the criticism, Kendall has remained unfazed and never shied away from wearing sandals. Her shoe size shouldn’t be surprising because Kendall is a whopping 5’10” tall.
